Dr. Ashley Wong is a local girl, born and raised in Maryland. She is a passionate pediatric optometrist and mother of two adorable kiddos. Dr. Wong takes pride in helping children enjoy life with healthy, beautiful vision and developing meaningful relationships with families in the community she cherishes most.

Carly, our optometry assistant, is a born and raised Marylander. Carly has over six years of experience working in optometry in several roles such as receptionist, technician, and optical assistant. She is very excited to bring her years of experience and passion for helping kids and parents with vision concerns to the team. Carly enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, roller skating, swimming, and dancing around the house.
Maria, our Patient Care Coordinator, loves working with children as well as growing and gaining knowledge in the healthcare industry. Maria’s favorite part of working here is examining and taking photos of the eyes as well as pre-testing or finding a patient’s prescription. She loves warm weather, spending time with family, shopping, and playing with her Goldendoodle, Tyson.
Maddie, our patient care coordinator, is the first smile you will see when visiting our practice. She joins us with several years of experience in the dental industry. She loves working with children, meeting new people, and taking care of all the patient details here. Maddie is from Frederick, MD and loves spending time with family, friends, and her two playful pit bulls.
Paola, our patient care coordinator, enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and her two doggies, a shipoo and a bichon. She enjoys collaborating with our small team here and can’t wait to see the young practice grow into a successful practice. Paola is a warm, caring, and patient member of our team and can’t wait to grow in the pediatric specialty.
Lisa, Pediatric Eyes and Smile’s Patient/Outreach Coordinator, is super happy to have found a home in healthcare services right in her hometown of Urbana. Art teaching experience and previous marketing roles led Lisa to find a fit with Pediatric Eyes and Smiles. She enjoys helping Dr. Tan and Dr. Wong with patient care, community events, outreach, and most creative projects around the office. Lisa enjoys bringing her busy kids to all their activities as well as swimming, skiing, and traveling with her husband.
Khadijah, our pediatric dental hygienist, has been a registered dental hygienist since 2017, graduating from HCC’s dental hygiene program. A Colorado native, she found her home in Maryland, where she discovered her passion for working with children. Khadijah is very excited to educate our patients on their oral health and setting the foundation for a positive dental experience. In her free time she loves being with her family and taking her dog Dexter on walks.
Jasmin, our beloved dental assistant, has over 4 years of dental assisting experience. She loves spending time with children which is not unexpected after helping raise her four younger siblings and being around her many nieces and nephews. Jasmin lives locally in Frederick and her hobbies include pottery, painting and bowling with her husband.

Skyler, a native of Frederick area, has enjoyed being a registered dental hygienist since 2016 after graduating from VCU’s dental hygiene program. At Pediatric Eyes and Smiles, she loves getting to know the patients to make their experience more personable. In her free time, Skyler loves anything outdoors, especially hiking and traveling. Her two dogs, Maddox and Dakota, keep her smiling every day.

Candace, Pediatric Eyes and Smile’s Patient Care Coordinator, is the first smile you will see when visiting our practice. Her hospitality background and previous optometry experience is the perfect mix for assisting patients and families every day. When not at the practice, Candace loves taking her 3 boys to their sporting events and enjoying the outdoors with her husband and dogs.
